SPECIAL
EXPEDITIONS -- For 2010/11 we
are offering three exciting special sea kayak expeditions
in Baja, Mexico.
New
for this season is a Baja Sea Kayaking and Yoga
trip. This 7 day expedition combines an exploration
of Baja's beautiful Isla Espritu Santo by sea kayak
with daily yoga practice.
The
Baja Coastal trip - a fully-catered
9 day kayaking holiday exploring the coast north of
La Paz in the Sea of Cortez.
The
Loreto to La Paz trip is an 11 day
self-contained expedition that travels along the coast
from Loreto south towards La Paz.
BAJA
SEA KAYAKING and YOGA TRIP -- a 7 day holiday
on beautiful Espiritu Santo Island, in the Sea of Cortez.
A Nature Reserve and UNESCO World Heritage Site, Espiritu
Santo offers great sea kayaking, beautiful campsites
on white sand beaches, and the peace and power of nature.
This trip offers all the best of our regular Espiritu
Santo kayaking trips with the addition of daily
yoga practice. Start your day on a serene white sand
beach with a two hour pranayama and asana practice.
Spend the day kayaking, snorkeling, hiking or relaxing
then take part in a restorative yoga session each evening.
Both silent meditation and guided meditation practices
are offered as well.
Your
yoga instructor is Tina Haskim, a very experienced yoga instructor and certified fitness instructor.
Her teaching style is intuitive, light hearted and flexible.
Our sessions will explore our connection with nature
as we follow the rhythms of sun and tide to experience
the most profound yoga practice: yoga in the wilderness.
No
previous kayaking or yoga experience is required.
The
package includes 2 nights at a nice hotel in La Paz,
7 days paddling with 6 nights camping on pristine wilderness
beaches and a farewell dinner
at an excellent La Paz restaurant.
The fall trip is a self contained expedition. We will carry all our food and camping equipment in our kayaks, and everyone helps out with meals and clean up.
The spring trip is a fully catered trip with full time motorboat support (called a Panga). On this trip the Panga carries all the food and gear. The boat crew and guides do the cooking and clean up.

BAJA
COASTAL TRIP -- A special
9 day sea kayak holiday in Baja exploring some of the
finest scenery between Loreto and La Paz. With no maintained
road access and only a few small fishing villages untouched
by the trappings of the modern world it is a perfect
place to get away.
This trip is 'Fully-Catered' with full time motorboat
(called a Panga) support. The Panga carries all our
food and expedition gear to the next campsite while
we paddle light kayaks. Coolers aboard the Panga allow
for special food and drink throughout the trip. The
Panga crew and guides take care of all the cooking and
clean up. This is a shorter, less rigorous version of
the Loreto to La Paz trip.
The package includes 2 nights at a nice hotel in La
Paz, 7 days paddling with 6 nights camping on pristine
wilderness beaches and a farewell dinner at an excellent
La Paz restaurant.

LORETO
to LA PAZ COASTAL TRIP -- This 11 day expedition
explores some of the finest scenery in southern Baja
-from Loreto to La Paz . We camp on soft sand beaches,
overlooked by an enormous and spectacular mountain range,
the Sierra de la Giganta; in many places sheer cliffs
hundreds of feet high plunge directly into the Gulf.
This area has a very low amount of seafaring traffic
but an amazing amount of marine activity. Expect daily
dolphin sightings, perhaps whales and pristine snorkeling
areas. We nearly always indulge in fresh fish and lobster,
so feel free to bring your own fishing line and help
catch dinner! With several rest days and paddling 4
hours on most days (expect one long day) the trip is
great break from every day life.
This
trip includes 10 days paddling, 9 nights camping with
two night's hotel in La Paz and a farewell dinner at
an excellent La Paz restaurant.
