Dumoine River Trips
The Dumoine River plunges some 500 feet down the rocky granite margin of the Laurentian Highlands, and flows 90 km due south of Lac Dumoine before emptying into the Ottawa River Valley. The river is interspersed with picturesque lakes and framed by steep-sided, pine-covered hills. For most of its length, the Dumoine river traces a pattern of falls and exciting rapids. Most sets can be run in spring conditions, and water levels remain good throughout the summer. There are optional portages around most of the tricky rapids. This Canadian Heritage River is a Canadian Shield classic and not to be missed!
