Goliah Makletzoff-Cazon I am Deh Cho Dene from Łı́ı́dlı̨ı̨ Kų́ę́ First Nation. I grew up hunting, trapping and living on the land in the North with my family. This way of life ignited a love and passion for the land and the North and it is what drew me to guiding. Sharing my deeply rooted experience and knowledge of the land with others brings me joy. I am a huge advocate for outdoor education and experiences as a way of life. My first river trip in 2011 was on the Nahanni River, which has become one of my favorite places to paddle! This will be my second year guiding with Black Feather, but my ninth overall including lakes and rivers throughout Canada. Outside of guiding, I work alongside youth creating programming that provides youth with on the land leadership opportunities, expeditioning and creating employable opportunities, breaking through personal barriers, and reconnecting with the land and water. I have a deep passion for the North, the people, the land, the water and my culture, and I look forward to sharing that with you.
