Hello, I’m Mimi.
I’ve been guiding with Black Feather since 2008, and now bring over 16 years of expedition experience leading remote wilderness trips in the North—both canoeing and hiking. For nearly a decade, I guided full-time during the summer seasons, and continue to work on a contract basis, bringing deep familiarity with the land, a strong skillset, and a passion for backcountry travel.
Alongside guiding, I’ve spent the past 10 years working as an emergency room nurse, including time in remote outpost settings. This experience has shaped how I approach safety, preparedness, and care in the field. I’m currently advancing my clinical practice by becoming a Nurse Practitioner.
When I’m not guiding or nursing, you’ll likely find me outdoors with my dog, recharging on the trails, or experimenting with something new in the kitchen.
I look forward to meeting you on the trail or river—and supporting you in making your trip a meaningful and rewarding experience.
